What MVP Tracker knows about you

An independent project, with no marketing budget and no interest in reselling your data — here's exactly what's collected, where it's stored, and what never gets sent anywhere.

Short version

No reselling, no ads

Nothing you do in the app or on this site is sold or shared for commercial purposes — there isn't even infrastructure to do that. The only audience-measurement tool used is Google Analytics, on this site only (never inside the desktop app), and only if you accept it — see Cookies and analytics below. The project is built by one person, for the real use of Valorant players.

Stored only on your PC

What never leaves your machine

The app keeps a local database (SQLite) on your computer, never sent to an MVP Tracker server — there isn't one. That includes:

  • Your cached Valorant matches (and those of any profile you look up)
  • Your ping / network detection history — now strictly scoped to your linked account, invisible to anyone else using the app on the same machine
  • Your crosshairs, strategies, personal bets, answered puzzles, weekly wraps, goals, skin wishlist and collection
  • Your personal HenrikDev API key

Uninstalling the app or deleting that local file erases this data for good — nothing keeps a copy elsewhere.

Online account (optional)

What's stored if you create an MVP Tracker account

The online account only exists to persistently link your Riot ID and enable social features (friends, messaging). It's hosted with Supabase, a specialized third-party provider, with strict access rules (each user can only read what concerns them). This is stored:

  • Your email address and password (the password is never stored in plain text — Supabase hashes it)
  • The Riot ID linked to your account (username, tag, internal Riot identifier), which can only be linked to one MVP Tracker account at a time
  • Your display name and chosen avatar, if set
  • Your main role and favorite agent, if set
  • Your friends list (sent/received/accepted requests)
  • The content of messages exchanged with your friends in the app

This data is only visible to you and, for the friends list and messages, to the friends involved — never to a random other user.

Contact form

If you write to us from the site

The contact form stores your name, email, and message in a dedicated table, accessible only from the Supabase dashboard — never publicly readable, even with the key used by the site. This information is only used to reply to you.

Third-party services

What goes out, and why

  • HenrikDev API — receives your personal API key and the Riot ID you look up (yours or another player's, if you use search) to return match data. This key and these searches never pass through an MVP Tracker server.
  • valorant-api.com — provides game images/icons (agents, weapons, maps, ranks). No personal data sent.
  • Distribution platform — the app checks on launch whether a new version exists, via a public API. No personal data sent.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy, independent of MVP Tracker.

Cookies and analytics

Google Analytics, only if you accept it

The site (not the desktop app) shows a banner on first load, asking you to accept or decline Google Analytics. Until you accept, no Google script is loaded and no cookie is set. If you accept, Google Analytics measures which pages are visited and where traffic comes from (IP address anonymized), only to understand how the site is used — never for advertising, and this data is never linked to your MVP Tracker account. It's processed by Google Ireland Limited, and may be transferred to the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Retention

How long it's kept

  • Local data (matches, ping, crosshairs...): as long as the app stays installed, until manual deletion or uninstall
  • Online account (email, profile, friends, messages): as long as the account exists, until a deletion request
  • Contact form messages: kept as long as needed to reply and follow up, 12 months maximum
Hosting and minimum age

Where and for whom

Online account data is hosted via Supabase Inc.'s infrastructure, which may be located outside the European Union depending on the project's configured region — see the legal notice for hosting details.

The app isn't intended for people under 15 without consent from a holder of parental authority, in line with French data protection rules — see the terms of use.

Your rights

Access, rectification, deletion, and more

Under GDPR, you have a right of access, rectification, deletion, restriction of processing, objection, and data portability over your online account data. Local data (matches, crosshairs, ping, etc.) disappears when you uninstall the app.

To exercise any of these rights, or for any question about this policy, email mvptracker.app@gmail.com — the request will be handled manually, since the project doesn't yet have a self-service tool. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (or your local supervisory authority within the EU).

Updates

This page can change

If new features change what's collected, this page will be updated accordingly — no individual notification. For any question, reach out via the contact form.
